Where can I watch the Brazil vs Germany World Cup semi final?

Hosts Brazil face off against Germany in the first semi-final of World Cup 2014 on July 8. You can watch the action live on BBC One and BBC One HD. 

Unless you planned to watch the game in the pub after hours, you’re probably going to watch the game at home. If not, and you need to set a recording, we’ve included all of the channel information below. 

The BBC will be broadcasting the Brazil vs Germany game live – kick off is at 9:00pm. If you can’t get to the pub or home in time for kick off, you can always set a recording and stream the game online (if possible) on BBC iPlayer or the BBC Sport site.

Head over to channe 1 for BBC One of channel 101 for BBC One HD on both Freeview and YouView.  

Freesat

Freesat viewers in England can get BBC One in SD at channel 101 and BBC One HD channel 108. 

Fans tuning in from Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales can watch BBC One in standard definition at channel 108 and in HD on channel 101. 

Sky

Sky TV customers in England can get the regular BBC One at channel 101 and BBC One HD at channel 141. 

Viewers in Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales can get standard definition BBC One at channel 141 and BBC One HD at channel 101. 

Virgin Media

Virgin Media TV customers can watch BBC One in SD at channel 101 or in HD at channel 108. 

Online – BBC iPlayer, BBC Sport and TVPlayer

As well as being able to stream the game on BBC iPlayer, the BBC is has been bringing us ‘the first ever 24/7 World Cup’ on the BBC Sport site. Heading over to BBC Sport on your phone and tablet browser will let you stream games and immerse yourself in a universe of stats and social media streams. Smart TV viewers with the BBC Sport app will also be able to stream games live over a broadband connection. 

The TVPlayer app for iOS, Android and Amazon Kindle tablets will also let you stream the BBC’s live coverage of Brazil vs Germany.
