iPad Air and iPad Mini with retina display owners can now make use of YouView’s remote record app for iOS, thanks to a recent update.
On top of this, the YouView EPG (Electronic Programme Guide) has now been rearranged for Apple tablets, adding channel logos instead of just the names of the stations. These logos will also appear on the Now & Next and the programme information screen, where available.
YouView has also updated the Channel Day List View, bringing more programme information to your fingertips.
The YouView App is supported on Apple devices running iOS 6 and iOS 7 and is compatible with iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPhone 5S, iPhone 5C, iPod touch (4th generation), iPod touch (5th generation) and iPad (first generation iPad is not supported).
YouView’s iOS app is free to download, works via WiFi or 3G/4G and is compatible with all YouView set-top boxes.
As reported by a recent update to the YouView app for Android added a voice search feature as part of a drive to make YouView more accessible to blind and partially sighted people.
