Aircord uses iPad and iPhone to create projection magic

Forget mood lighting. Aircord, an interactive creative studio based in Tokyo, has come up with some seriously cool projection setups using an iPad and an iPhone.

As you’ll see in the demos below, Aircord uses an iPad to control coloured balls around a huge surface area and change light settings – it looks really fun. The smaller but still impressive iPhone setup combines a Pico projector with a jingling bird. The projected bird pops out of an egg and then flies around before vanishing.

Two months ago we reported on a mobile gaming projection system called Moject, which lets you play iPhone games on a wall. Mobile phone projection systems haven’t taken off yet but with so many cool ideas literally floating around we hope it isn’t too long.
