UK Motorola Milestone owners will be happy to learn that the latest version of Android (2.1) will be made available over the next few weeks. The following message was posted over on Motorola Europe’s Facebook page yesterday:
“Hello everyone! We are delighted to say that the European roll-out of our 2.1 upgrade began today in France and will roll out across Germany, Italy and the UK between now and mid-April as testing and approvals are completed. Stay tuned for your own country’s announcement and look forward to enhancements including live wallpapers, up to 9 home screens, added security for exchange server users and more!”
GSMArena reports that other new features, such as the Motorola Car Home interface for in-car usage and an improved camera application, will also be included in the update. GSMArena also includes a link to files needed if you fancy manually installing the updates yourself.
