Angry Birds most popular app for Windows Phone 7 users in 2011

 

Birds, fruit, plants and zombies are the catch of the day for Windows Phone 7 users according to new stats released by Microsoft. Unsurprisingly for 2011, Angry Birds was the most popular app downloaded by WP7 owners, closely followed by Fruit Ninja and Plants vs Zombies in 2^nd and 3^rd respectively.

Microsoft also released the top 20 for its Xbox gamers, where war and death where more of a hit. The hit series of Call of Duty games holding the top three positions followed by Halo: Reach and Battlefield 3.

Windows Phone users stuck to more house hold favourites including MONOPOLY and Uno, and brain teasers for their top 20 and you can find the full list below:
