In the lead up to its Worldwide Developer Conference (WWDC) in June, Apple has been busy making updates and rumours / leaks about what is to be revealed have been rife – most recently the introduction of a new non-Google Maps app.
The latest news comes from the expansion of the companies iCloud.com web-app library, which now includes Reminders and Notes applications – as 9to5mac reports. Apple is busy making updates to the website and the beta site is appearing sporadically. There is also a developer site that can be found at developer.icloud.com.
One eagle eyed fan has spotted direct references to the next instalment of iOS – iOS 6 beta – in the code strings on the iCloud site, see below. This further hints that Apple will showcase the iOS 6 at June’s WWDC event.
Regarding WWDC 2012, Apple’s senior VP of worldwide marketing, Phil Schiller said “We have a great WWDC planned this year and can’t wait to share the latest news about iOS and OS X Mountain Lion with developers. The iOS platform has created an entirely new industry with fantastic opportunities for developers across the country and around the world.”
We will of course keep you updated with information as it comes in.
