Apple iPhone 5 UK pricing: Carphone Warehouse offer cheapest plan with free handset

If you want an iPhone 5 but the additional burn of the pricey handset costs are too much to ask for, then Carphone Warehouse’s exclusive new iPhone plan should be right up your street.

The plan operates on O2’s network but it isn’t available on the carrier’s own iPhone 5 webpages. For £39 a month on a 24 month contract, prospective customers can pick up a black or white 16GB Apple iPhone 5, for free. The hit comes with some of the allowances, as technically some less expensive plans do offer more in the way of minutes, texts or data, but with a more noticeable handset price tag as the trade-off.

£39 a month offers a respectable 900 any-network minutes, unlimited texts and 100MB of data, so this plan is better suited to those who don’t plan on using online services beyond email unless their connected to a WiFi network. The retailer is also offering up to £250 trade-in for old iPhones to help reduce the financial strain even further.

Here’s a roundup of network and SIM-free availability for the new iPhone 5, or  you can check out our Apple iPhone 5 deals.
