Ahead of the eagerly anticipated official Apple iPhone 5 release date (which still hasn’t been confirmed), the Cupertino company is believed to be preparing to announce the next-gen smartphone from its California based campus.
Apple and new CEO Tim Cook are expected to unveil the iPhone at an event on October 4th and with rumours rife, new reports have suggested the iPad and iPod maker will turn their backs on the usual San Francisco unveiling location in favour of the Cupertino campus.
Citing “sources close to the company,” the Wall Street Journal’s tech blog All Things D has claimed that Apple will forgo the usual high-profile San Francisco based announcement in favour of a more intimate product showcase on home soil.
The iPhone release date has led to intense speculation with a survey declaring that Apple iPhone fans are the most loyal, this is totally understandable.
“Sources close to the situation” say that the new iPhone (or new iPhones as it may turn out to be) will be revealed at a special Apple event on October 4th, a full week and a half earlier than we had heard from Orange CEO Stephane Richard.
Additionally, we don’t know what Apple will be launching. Analyst Mark Moskowitz said that, according JP Morgan’s research, Apple will also be releasing an improved version of its iPhone 4, which Moskowitz refers to as an iPhone 4 Plus.
