Asus Transformer Pad Infinity Tips and Tricks

The Asus Transformer Pad Infinity is in our eyes the best 10.1-inch Android tablet and maybe even the best tablet device out at the moment. For little more than a 64GB new iPad 3, you can get 64GB of full HD Android tablet with a keyboard dock, adding huge amounts of function to an already great slate. Android tablets however excel in their nuances, so here are five tips to send your Transformer to infinity, and beyond.

Tip 1 – Keyboard shortcuts

The Asus Transformer Pad Infinity packs the same great keyboard dock as the Transformer Prime and the same shortcuts too. These are allocated along the top row of the dock and from left to right include a back button, wi-fi toggle, bluetooth toggle, trackpad toggle, brightness controls, screenshot button, web browser, settings, music controls, volume control and to the very right, a lock button.

Tip 2 – Storage

With ports and slots galore, the Transformer Pad Infinity’s impressive 64GB of on board memory can be increased no end. First off, the right hand side of the tablet sports a microSD card slot for 32GB of additional memory. If that isn’t enough, the keyboard dock will take your full-sized SD card or any USB device you may have, be it a 500MB USB key or a 2TB hard drive.

Tip 3 – Dock your Camera

The TF 700 camera is pretty fantastic thanks to its 8-megapixel sensor and f/2.2 aperture. One way to make it even better is to treat the tablet dock like you would a tripod. This is especially useful in dark scenarios where you can activate night mode for a longer exposure, a steadier camera and a clearer low light shot. For extra stillness, use the trackpad to release your shutter and you’ll be able to get shots like this on your tab.

Tip 4 – In a rush? Charge your dock.

All the transformer docks act as batteries, supplementing the battery on the tablet while also charging them when connected. It’s worth knowing that the dock on its own will charge quicker than a tablet that’s switched on, so if you’re in a hurry, just charge your dock. As soon as you connect your charged dock to your tablet, hurl it in your bag and the dock will charge your tablet on the go.

Tip 5 – Wireless music.

Tablets make terrible MP3 players because they’re so very big. But on the flipside, tabs like the Infinity have so much potential storage, you could fit your entire MP3 library on them. So how do you overcome the size issue? Get a Bluetooth headset or reciever. Once paired, your Transformer Pad can be in your bag, on your desk or anywhere within about 10 meters, wirelessy streaming your music to your Bluetooth device.

Hopefully that’s helped you figure out how to turbo charge your Asus Transformer Pad Infinity to the next level of mind blowingly good.
