Asus Transformer Prime spotted in the wild

You want all the pros of a tablet, like long battery life and portability, but you’re not too thrilled about typing on a virtual keyboard for long periods of time. The Asus Transformer was the solution to your problem. But that’s so six months ago, you’re pining for the new hotness now.

The Transformer Prime then is what you should be looking forward to, and lo and behold, there are spy shots for you to feast your eyes on.

Nothing super exciting, and at first we were hard pressed to see the difference between this and the original Transformer, save for the silver finish of the keyboard. Take a look at the back of the tablet though, and you’ll see a brushed metal finish not too far removed from Asus’ recent line of Zenbooks.

We don’t know when we’ll be seeing the Transformer Prime, or even the complete specs. Right now though it’s confirmed to be running Nvidia’s Kal-El quad-core chipset, and possibly the latest version of Android, Ice Cream Sandwich. We could see it in time for Christmas, just don’t tell my bank account that.
