After a cursory snoop around on Orange’s site, we spotted this, the Atlanta from Orange. Not the most exciting phone we’ve stumbled across on a network’s Coming Soon page but if you’re in the market for an inexpensive 12-key phone on pay-as-you-go then this looks to be just the ticket.
£40 plus an obligatory £10 top up gets you a phone with a built-in MP3 player, email (regular and push) and internet browsing.
The camera is only a 1.3-megapixel deal and doesn’t have a flash. But if you’re after a replacement/back up phone then this shouldn’t be a deal breaker.
The Atlanta is part of Orange’s range of city-named phones which have included the wildly successful Orange San Francisco. Other than the spec that’s up on Orange’s site there’s not much else available on the Atlanta. We’ll let you know more about the Atlanta as and when we hear more.
