Batman, The Dark Knight Rises starring Christian Bale and Anne Hathaway is due for general release here in the UK on 20 July 2012 and excitement for the film is mounting, especially here at Recombu HQ. Having just gotten our hands on a Dark Knight Rises special edition Nokia Lumia 800, we’ve given it a quick once over with a video and pictures for your viewing pleasure.
With only fourty of these special edition Nokia Lumia 800s made, Nokia have kept customisation to a minimum, with the only physical variance from the original being a Batman insignia in the bottom portion of the backing, etched out and finished with a rough texture. As far as the interface goes, there isn’t really anything changed aside from a Bane wallpaper, a preloaded profile for the Dark Knight Rises with links to downloadable content, as well as images in the gallery, perfectly formatted to sit pretty on the Lumia 800’s WVGA display.
The Batman, Dark Knight Rises special edition Nokia Lumia 800 won’t leave anyone in awe of its extra features when compared to a standard Lumia 800 and you can check out the video for a full run-down of what makes it special. That said, with such a limited release and an air of disguise about the handset, this is ultimately a solid phone any self-respecting techy or film buff could quite inconspicuously pull out and use, knowing full well that if someone were to scratch the surface, they could well reveal something altogether super.
