Best Business Tablets

We review and compare the best tablets for business users that you can buy in 2016, including those with the best all-day battery life, accessories such as keyboards and stylus pens and best-in-class performance.

Microsoft Surface Pro 4

This Windows 10 Pro tablet is essentially a desktop replacement machine, boasting incredible performance thanks to the Intel Core i processor, backed by up to 16GB of RAM. You get plenty of storage for your files and apps too, with up to 1TB packed inside.

Alongside Microsoft’s dependable Office suite, you have a world of apps and software at your fingertips to stay productive on the go. The excellent detachable keyboard is slim but very user friendly and the Surface Pro 4 is particularly great for creative users, thanks to the sharp 12.3-inch screen and pressure-sensitive stylus.

Apple iPad Pro

Apple’s biggest iPad to date is practically the size of two iPad Airs stuck side-by-side, rocking a massive 12.9-inch screen that’s still just as sharp as the smaller iPad panels. The iPad Pro isn’t just bigger, however. The new A9X processor is supremely powerful, allowing you to splice together 4K video in iMovie without any slowdown or run the very latest office apps.

Despite that, you’ll still get a solid ten hours of use from the Pro before the battery needs a recharge. And Apple’s keyboard and stylus accessories may be expensive, but they really help to elevate the Pro beyond similar tabs, offering a responsive and class-leading experience.

The Yoga Tab 3 Pro is another pricey business tablet but you get what you pay for, with an impressively solid, smart design, gorgeous 10.1-inch QHD screen, long battery life and a nifty adjustable stand for propping up.

Sony Xperia Z4 Tablet

Touch typists will appreciate the Xperia Z4 Tablet’s detachable keyboard, while everyone should love the impressively thin and light design, all-day battery life and seriously strong performance that keeps your business apps running smoothly. The Z4 Tablet is also a bit cheaper than most of the other tablets here, although it’s still not exactly cheap.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S2

You might not have a snap-on keyboard, stylus or any other stand-out accessories compared with the other business tablets here, but the Galaxy Tab S2 boasts Samsung’s excellent security features (bolstered by the fingerprint sensor) and the gorgeously crisp, square-ish screen is well suited to productivity apps.

Long battery life means you won’t run out of charge halfway through the day either, while the smooth performance is provided by Samsung’s Exynos processor.
