Best wearables still to hit the UK in 2015

We round up the very best smartwatches and wearables that are coming to the UK in Autumn/Winter 2015, just in time for Christmas.

Motorola Moto 360 (2015 edition)

The new Moto 360 from Motorola improves greatly over the original watch from 2014, with a more attractive design, smooth performance and a choice of sizes and styles. All models boast built-in WiFi while the special Sports model also has GPS.

Plus, with the latest version of Android Wear on board, the 360 can be paired with your iPhone as well as your Android handset.

Samsung Gear S2

Samsung’s latest smartwatch sports the Korean company’s very own Tizen OS, which packs in plenty of features and apps – and so far proves more user-friendly than the likes of Android Wear. Boasting a sharp 1.2-inch screen, plus an attractive design in two distinct styles, the Gear S2 could possibly be one of the very best watches of 2015.

Asus Zenwatch 2

The Zenwatch 2 could be the best-value  wearable of the year, boasting a gorgeous and comfortable design and the latest version of Android Wear for a frankly ludicrous €149.

There may not be a heart rate monitor, but the Zenwatch 2 offers constant motion monitoring by way of a six-axis gyroscope and a pedometer, so you can track a range of exercises. That even extends to sit-up and push-up tallying, for bedroom fitness enthusiasts.

Huawei Watch

Huawei knows how to do premium design and its as-yet-unnamed watch is a gorgeous slab of sapphire crystal, boasting a seriously sharp 400×400 pixel display. Perhaps that’s why it ain’t cheap – with prices starting from €399, you’ll need to be plush to afford one.

Sony Smartband 2

If you’re after a simple fitness tracker, Sony’s Smartband 2 is a solid choice. You can pull out the core and stick it into a different band if you want to change up the style, and you get the usual range of smart features including a heart rate monitor and notification support, plus full waterproofing.
