Blackberry Dakota leak

Pictures have emerged of the long rumoured touchscreen and keyboard combo Blackberry known as the Dakota.

Website BGR posted a story with pictures of the shiny new Blackberry earlier on today. The phone is set to become Blackberry’s flagship device and boasts just about the most cutting edge specs on a RIM handset to date.

These include things like an NFC chip and 3G mobile hotspot (suggesting Wi-Fi tethering) as well as HD video recording capability.

The phone is also to have 4GB of internal storage and 768Mb or RAM. It will also have a magnetometer and accelerometer. Best of all however is that it will launch with the much improved Blackberry OS 6.1

The Dakota is said to be 10.5mm thin and include a 2.8″ VGA 640×480 capacative touchscreen as well as the usually high quality Blackberry QWERTY keyboard.

Exciting stuff from Blackberry. Looks like they might have caught up with other smartphones in the specs department.
