Blackberry Passport Silver Edition coming to UK this month from £399

Blackberry’s Passport phone just had itself a face lift, with the Passport Silver Edition sporting a sexy new stainless steel frame and smoother corners. The Blackberry Passport Silver Edition is already available in the States, but here in the UK we’ll have to wait a little longer.

Thankfully Blackberry’s PR has now confirmed that the Silver Edition will definitely be coming to the UK, and although we’ve got no solid official release date, we can expect the phone to arrive ‘in the coming weeks’. The Silver Edition will also launch in France, Germany, Italy, Spain and the Netherlands.

Blackberry’s PR told us to expect Silver Edition SIM-free pricing to start from £429 here in the UK, although online retailer Clove will be offering the phone for just £399, with first stock expected by the end of August.

You can buy the Blackberry Passport Silver Edition from ShopBlackberry.com when it arrives, while Amazon, Carphone Warehouse and Selfridges (both the website and the actual store) will also stock the handset.

However, the best deal appears to be via ShopBlackberry, which is offering £90 worth of accessories for free with every purchase, for a limited time. There’s no mention of which accessories you can expect, but this will be revealed when the phone goes on sale.

We just received our very own Passport Silver Edition, so expect an unboxing and full review soon.
