Blackberry Priv price, release date and best UK deals

We check out the best monthly, SIM free and PAYG deals for the Blackberry Priv, including the UK price and release date.

Blackberry’s latest smartphone, the Blackberry Priv, is one of the only slider phones we’ve seen in 2015. Even more compelling is the fact that the Priv runs Android instead of Blackberry’s own mobile OS, making this one of the most-watched mobiles of the year.

Check out our Blackberry Priv: In A Nutshell guide for info on the Priv’s specs and features. Here’s our run-down of the best Priv UK deals, which we’ll update as we hear from carriers.

Blackberry Priv: UK price and release date

To buy the Priv SIM-free, you’ll need to stump up a hefty £579. Blackberry’s slider phone is expected to hit stores on November 6th, both online and on the high street.

Blackberry Priv: Best UK deals

We’ve heard from Carphone Warehouse, who has exclusive rights over Blackberry Priv pre-orders. Carphone confirmed it will stock the Priv from £32.50 per month (with a £79.99 up-front cost). This cheapest tariff (which is with O2) bags you unlimited UK minutes and texts, but a measly 1GB of data. That’s fine if you want to simply browse the web and check emails, but won’t suit anyone who wishes to stream media.

You can also grab the Priv on Vodafone via Carphone Warehouse, starting at £34 a month (with a £79.99 up-front cost again). That bags you the same unlimited texts and minutes, but also 2GB of data. You can alternatively pay £39 a month with a £59.99 up-front cost for 6GB of data.

EE’s best offer through Carphone is £52 a month with no up-front cost, which bags you unlimited minutes and texts and 5GB of data.

Carphone’s own iD network also offers the Priv from a rather steep £45.50 a month with a £19.99 up-front cost, for 2000 minutes, 5000 texts and 2GB of data.

This article is being updated as we hear from the other carriers.
