BlackBerry Q10 unboxing video

Finally, the BlackBerry Q10 is here – a BB10 phone that actually looks like a BlackBerry!

Physical QWERTY keyboard in tow, the Canadian manufacturer formerly known as RIM hopes the BlackBerry Q10 and Z10 will help turn things around and show the world that its still current, and indeed, the QWERTY keyboard is too. Specs are respectable, with dual-cores, a 720p display and an 8-megapixel camera, making the Q10 the most enticing QWERTY to date.

The box of the BlackBerry Q10 is simple enough, similar to the Z10, pink and purple highlights are coupled with a clean black base colour.

Open up the box and the first thing to greet you is the phone itself, layered up with peelable plastic, it’s battery-less, so don’t try and power it up just yet.

Take it out and you’ll see a number of bits of paper underneath. There’s also a data cable, a wall charger, not to mention a pair of headphones complete with looped ear buds, the same headphones that shipped with the BlackBerry Z10.

Finally, nuzzled at the very bottom is that battery, 2100mAh of juice. Slide off the back cover of the Q10, slot it in and away you go.

With the Q10 loaded with both a physical QWERTY and a 3.1-inch Super AMOLED touch screen, input options are abundant and the phone feels comfortable to interact with. The 10.4mm thickness is a little on the beefy side, though it isn’t too heavy and the curves coupled with the semi-soft touch backing sit well in the hand.

Excited? Of course you are. Keep your eyes peeled for our full review and if you want to know anything about the BlackBerry Q10 we haven’t covered here, drop us a comment below.
