Darth Vader endorses Samsung Galaxy S: It is the droid he’s looking for

The Japanese truly know how to make ads that confound us non-Japanese speaking types.

We take this wonderfully confusing advert to imply that if you buy a Samsung Galaxy S with Docomo you get a free imaginary Darth Vader. But, to be fair, you can get that with any phone.

One YouTube commenter suggests that Darth Vader in Japanese actually means Mr Smartphone – although we remain skeptical about the validity of this argument.

Whatever’s going on, the sweet little ad is a million times better than all the current British mobile phone marketing so we’re prepared to go with it. Someone give those guys a raise. [via The Daily What]
