Britain’s coastline gets its biggest dose of EE 4G yet

Mobile network EE has been unrelenting in its rollout of 4G across the UK since it launched late last year and the most recent wave of superfast mobile connectivity has crashed against the shoreline of key coastal cities including Brighton, Bournemouth and Portsmouth.

In truth this most recent switch-on actually brings 4G to a number of towns and cities further inland too, with a target of 19 additional locations receiving EE’s superfast treatment before Christmas Day this year. As well as the previously mentioned coastal cities: Bath, Cambridge, Darlington, Newcastle-under-Lyme, Northampton, Poole and Redcar join the list as 4G connected locales.

In the run-up to Christmas, EE is hoping to entice more mobile users over to its ever-expanding 4G network, particularly with the addition of PAYG and shared tariffs, which it brought in earlier this year.

CEO Olaf Swantee stated, “Smartphones and tablets on 4GEE are going to be a very popular present this Christmas as people across the UK continue to embrace mobile living and we make the superfast service available in even more places.”

Does this latest bout of superfast mobile goodness affect you, and if so, are you tempted to embrace some festive 4G?
