The ExtraVerso Cover can stick your Samsung Galaxy or Apple iPhone handset to almost any smooth surface such as glass and ceramics, but not your pocket or handbag, thanks to a special magical resin.
Due for release in September 2015, the ExtraVerso cover is impressively thin, adding a mere 1.5mm to your Samsung or Apple smartphone. Despite this, the cover can attach your mobile to any non-porous surface such as glass, metal, marble and ceramic tiles – ideal for sticking your phone to the wall to watch a movie while you cook or eat, or your windscreen for navigation.
ExtraVerso’s magic ingredient is a coating of resin which reproduces the effect of thousands of tiny suction cups. This resin doesn’t stick to non-porous surfaces, so you won’t have to prise your phone out of your pocket every time, and it doesn’t even attract dust or dirt.
The ExtraVerso actually comes in two parts – the adhesive layer and a protective bumper, available in a range of colours and designs. You can stick the adhesive directly onto your phone if you wish, or attach it onto the bumper and use that to keep your handset safe from drops.
You can even draw up your own design for the bumper, if you want to personalise it.
ExtraVerso is up on Indiegogo right now, where it’s raised $420 in its first hour. Here’s hoping it makes the $20,000 funding goal in the next month, so we can all get sticky. Supported handsets include the Apple iPhone 5, 5s, 6 and 6 Plus, and the Samsung Galaxy S5 and S6.
