Facebook for iPhone gets update

Facebook has released the latest update for iOS for the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch, adding the ability to tag people in updates and share external links.

Update 3.5 brings a host of updates, which finally bring iOS more up to date with Android, although there are still no video uploads.


The most significant changes appear when you update your status. Under the status bar are icons that let you add people from your friend list, Tag your location and add photos. You can also choose who can see your status, either Public, Friends or any friend lists you’ve set up. Elsewhere the design of your Facebook profile has been refreshed


 

New features include:
The ability to tag friends and places in posts
The ability to share external links from a web view
New design for Profile and Group Walls

Improved the sharing tool to add privacy controls on posts and match your settings on the website wall

Improvements and bug fixes

Improved Notifications speed
Fixed a number of Chat bugs
Made it easier to select filters in News Feed
Fixed a bug with the Notifications bar disappearing
Fixed a number of Photos bugs
Improved performance and stability overall

Compatible with the iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad running iOS 3.0, the update is available now over the air or via iTunes.
