Apple knows a thing or two about losing iPhones, which has no doubt spurred it on to launch the Find my iPhone app. Installing the app on any other iOS device, it can locate your missing baby – I mean, iPhone – if you’re a MobileMe account holder. So while the app itself is free, you’ll need to shell out £59 per year for a subscription.
MobileMe keeps all your shiny Apple devices synced up by storing your email, calendar and contacts in the cloud and updating everything via push updates. And, of course, you’ll be able to use the Find My iPhone app to map, lock or wipe the device remotely should it ever go walkies. You can even display a handy message on the missing iPhone’s screen.
Find My iPhone is available in the App Store now and can be used on any iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad running iOS 3.1.3 or later.
