Foot switch developed to flick through sheet music on an iPad

Trying to turn pages on an iPad while playing an instrument isn’t always easy or possible. To solve this issue, musician and inventor Koichi Tanaka came up with the idea of a foot switch. The idea is relatively simple but it’s implemented beautifully as you’ll see in the video below.

Tanaka transferred his music to his iPad in PDF form and used the GoodReader app to read the pages. GoodReader allows you to turn pages by tapping the screen so Tanaka built a small electronic finger which taps the screen when he presses down on a switch with his foot.
