Galaxy Nexus: Google and Three phone giveaway

In the run up to the handsets launch this week, Google is giving away 10 Galaxy Nexus smartphones via Twitter.

If you can’t quite stump up the cash for the phone yet take part in the Galaxy Nexus Challenge, which has just launched on the handsets official Twitter feed @googlenexus.

A question will be posted at a different time each day (so as not to show favouritism to different time zones), until November 21st 2011. As well as solving puzzles, entrants are also invited to enter using photographs. More information including terms and conditions are available from Google.

Three is also getting in on the Galaxy giveaway. The Three Blog is giving away the handset to one lucky entrant who answers the question: ‘How the Galaxy Nexus make your life smarter.’ You’ve got until November 17th to enter.

Manufactured by Samsung, the Galaxy Nexus is the next official phone and will be the first handset to launch with Android 4.0: Ice Cream Sandwich. We had some hands-on time with it recently and were really impressed. It’s the first phone to launch in the UK with a 4.65-inch HD (720p) resolution screen, which also incorporates Super AMOLED technology. Elsewhere there’s an NFC chip for contactless payments and a 5-megapixel camera that can capture 1080p HD movies.

Are you going to get the Galaxy Nexus? Or are you an Android fan waiting for the update…. Let us know below.
