Three have announced that, from today, they’ll be one of the first carriers to offer up the 3G Google Nexus 7 tablet on a plan which includes 5GB of data a month and an upfront device cost, details below.

We have a lot of time and love for the compact little Nexus 7 Android tablet, sure it might not have the same fit, finish or polish of the new iPad Mini, but for the price, it’s one of the best deals in technology right now.

Google Nexus 7 on Three

Having recently been upgraded to Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, there’s a wealth of functionality beyond the now multi-faceted lock screen, with features like Daydream, multiple user accounts and Gesture Typing out-the-box. What’s more the entire package surround the fully fledged 32GB 3G version of the Nexus 7 still racks up a smaller price tag than the smallest capacity WiFi-only iPad Mini, something worth considering when choosing your next small tablet. Google

Both the 16GB (£159) and 32GB (£199) WiFi-only models of the Nexus 7 are in stock, directly from Google, however orders can be placed on the 32GB 3G Nexus 7 (£239), despite that fact that it’s still listed as coming soon. Delivery in each case is listed at approximately one to two weeks.
