UK Google Nexus S: What’s in the box?

We’ve been lucky enough to get our hands on one of the first Google Nexus S handsets in the UK. We need to spend a bit more time with it before we can put up a full review but we thought you’d like to have a look at what’s in the box.

The Nexus S will be available to buy soon from the Carphone Warehouse and Best Buy UK on O2, Orange, Vodafone and T-Mobile. If you’re super keen to get your hands on one then you can pre-order a Nexus S at Carphone Warehouse.

According to Carphone Warehouse, the Nexus S will be available for free on a £35 per month contract, or on PAYG for £549.95 plus £10 minimum top up with O2, Orange, Vodafone and T-Mobile. You will also be able to get the Nexus S SIM-free for £549.95.

We like that manufacturers are staring to realise that huge boxes are stupid.

There’s a charger/USB cable and the manual and t&c booklets.

The Nexus S feels much lighter than we expected.

It’s a beautifully designed phone but it doesn’t feel as high-quality as the iPhone 4.

On the back there’s a 5-megapixel camera with LED photo light.

It’s a relatively thin phone with a bump at the bottom of the back, which we like as it helps to hold it better.

There’s a SIM card slot but no microSD slot. The Nexus S comes with 16GB of onboard memory though so we can’t complain too much.

There you have it, that’s everything in the box and so far we love it but make sure to come back next week when we’ll have a full review.
