GoTab tablet PCs: Hands-on pictures

Gadget Show Live 2012 – that slice of geek Nirvana in Birmingham’s NEC – gives us the opportunity to get hands on with a ton of kit, including these GoTab tablet PCs from Yarvik.

The screens on the GoTab devices come in two variants: 16×9 and 4×3, although if the manufacturers had their way you wouldn’t get a 16×9 option as they believe a truly premium tablet is 4×3.

On the plus side they offer a large number of ports, including Mini HDMI 720p out, Mini USB, 3.5mm jack for earphones, plus a MicroSD slot to make that 4GB internal memory expandable up to 32GB.

The devices also feature a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, while the GoTab tablets with 16×9 screens get 512MB RAM and the 4×3 variants boast 1G.

On the minus side those screens aren’t going to give Apple engineers any sleepless nights.

However, the GoTab series of tablet PCs does at least offer an affordable Android 4.0 experience, with all models priced below £150.
