Wallpaper creator Granimator is one of our favourite iPad apps so far, and now developer Ustwo has updated it with an in-app store so you can buy new packs of graphical elements to create crazy collages.
The app, which lets you paste styles, shapes and characters onto the screen in higgledy-piggledy fashion, remains free. However the store now sells new ‘packs’ from well-known designers and artists for £1.19 a pop. Six are available now, and the one that caught our attention was the pack from Pete Fowler – known to legions of music lovers for his animations and graphics for the Super Furry Animals.
The other five come from Airside, Buro Destruct, James Joyce (no, not that one), Rexbox and Moving Brands. You might not have heard of all/any of them unless you work in the design industry, but from what we’ve seen of their Granimator packs, they’ve all got bags of style and creativity.
