HTC Desire pricing: 3, T-Mobile, Carphone Warehouse, Vodafone, Orange and O2

Excited about the HTC Desire? In case you couldn’t tell, we are. If you’re planning on picking up your own five-star handset, have a good read through our round-up of all the currently and soon-to-be available tariffs and contracts before deciding on the deal that’s right for you.

T-Mobile – free from £35 a month, pre-order now

The HTC Desire can be pre-ordered from T-Mobile now and is available for free on a 24-month £35 contract. This deal gives you 1200 minutes, 500 texts and unlimited internet use. If you fancy getting the same minutes, messages and free internet use but don’t want to be locked into a contract for as long, you can get the handset for free on a £40 per month 18-month deal instead. Carphone Warehouse – free from £30 a month, available now

Carphone Warehouse has the HTC Desire available now. You can pick it up either free on 24 month £30 contracts (with T-Mobile, Vodafone or Orange) or on pay-as-you-go for a not inexpensive £399.95. Worth checking out if you can’t wait to get your hands on the Desire. [Carphone Warehouse]

Vodafone – free from £30 a month, coming 8th of April

The HTC Desire is available to pre-order from Vodafone now and will be going on sale next Thursday (8th April). The handset is free on a range of 18 and 24-month plans. The cheapest 18 month plan gives you 600 minutes, unlimited texts and unlimited internet use for £35 per month. You can get the same amount of minutes, texts and data for £30 per month on a 24-month plan and, again, you can get the HTC Desire for free. There is also a range of pricier deals – such as the 18-month £40 deal that gives you 900 minutes along with unlimited texts and internet, as well as unlimited calls to landline numbers if you order online. Pre-orders placed today are expected to arrive on April 13th. [Vodafone]

3 – free from £35 a month, coming 20th of April

3 will be giving away the HTC Desire for free on 24 month £35 a month contracts which give you 750 minutes, and unlimited messages and internet. It can also be bought for £349 on pay-as-you-go. As with all 3 phones, you’ll get free use of Skype, Windows Live Messenger and now Twitter. [3]

Orange – TBC

Earlier this week we heard that the all-black version of the HTC Desire will be coming exclusively to Orange. Whilst nothing official concerning prices, tariffs or release dates has been heard from Orange, it seems that the HTC Desire will be available for free on a 24 month £30 contract (900 minutes, unlimited texts and 500MB of internet), available to order or pre-order on this Friday 2nd April. O2 – TBC

O2 has confirmed that the HTC Desire will be available on its smart phone tariffs – all of which come with unlimited data. The 24 month £30 tariff, for example, gives you 300 minutes a month along with unlimited data. The 24 month £40 deal gives you 900 minutes plus unlimited texts and internet use. However, Desire-specific prices and release dates are yet to be announced. [O2]
