HTC Evo 3D UK price slashed in half

The HTC Evo 3D might not have convinced us that immersive 3D was possible on a phone but in all other aspects we kinda liked it. Disregarding the 3D-ness, it was a smoother proposition than the HTC Sensation in terms of overall performance (more RAM, 1GB vs 768MB) and we liked the camera shutter key.

It was pricey though; Vodafone dropped it from its roster and unlocked it commanded a pretty high price – around the £500 mark.

Expansys and ASDA have taken the blade to the price for SIM-only Evo 3D’s. Expansys is now flogging it for £284 unlocked with free delivery included whereas ASDA cuts a bit deeper to £249.99 or half price in other words.

At the time of writing, Expansys and ASDA still had stock, with the former having just 62 left. If you’re not necessarily bothered about 3D but you want a fast, dual-core Android phone with a big 4.3-inch screen, the HTC Evo 3D could sort you out.
