HTC First: Facebook Home UI images appear

The HTC First is expected to be revealed later today and ahead of its launch screenshots have emerged showing the devices Facebook Home UI.

The Facebook phone or HTC First (as we are expecting it to be called) will run Android Jelly Bean, overlayed with Sense 4.1, but up until now we haven’t seen any shots showing the freshly designed ‘Facebook Home’ app.

9to5 Google has three photographs: one showing the apps tray (right), one notifications and one sharing options (below).

The design looks nice – it’s minimal, with Android icons and heavy emphasis on social networking with Facebook and Instagram.

We’ve seen several leaked photographs purporting to be the HTC First, showing a rather spartan design, available in blue, white and red.

To appeal to a wide range of users and avoid a high-price point the phone offers mid-range specifications, it is expected to feature a 4.3-inch 720p HD screen, 5-megapixel camera and include a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor with 1GB RAM.

The HTC First is expected to be unveiled at 7pm this evening along with a newly designed Facebook app for Android, so we’ll find out more later.
