HTC Flyer tablet arrives on Three

HTC’s seven-inch tablet will be coming to Three Mobile, with its retro-chic stylus in tow.
The stylus isn’t just a plastic nub, but a battery-powered, pressure sensitive ‘Active Stylus’, perfect for annotating documents on-screen. (Or doodling.)

Powered by just the one 1.5GHz processor, the Flyer will come with 32GB of storage, GPS and two cameras; the front-facing one is 1.3-megapixel, while the rear-facing one will be a five-megapixel affair, with face recognition technology.

The HTC Flyer will be wrapped in an aluminium unibody, with two surround sound external speakers and the typical 3.5mm headphone jack.

Other features of the HTC Flyer include a single 1.5GHz processor, 1GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage, GPS and Wi-Fi.

It won’t be running the designed-for-tablet Android Gingerbread immediately, though an update is promised soon. HTC are promising a special Sense UI for the tablet, to cover over the Android 2.4 cracks.

The HTC Flyer will be joining the HTC Desire S, Wildfire S and ChaCha phone on Three, but we haven’t heard any news on dates or prices from the mobile network yet. Expect to hear more once the dust has settled from Mobile World Congress.
