HTC’s Incredible S will be available exclusively on Carphone Warehouse and their partner stores, Best Buy.
Following announcements from all the major UK networks, the Incredible S was conspicuous by its absence.
This is the first time a phone from HTC’s Incredible family will be available in the UK; the original Incredible was a US-only model.
This will be the latest phone thhat Carphone Warehouse have stolen an exclusive on. The Nexus S was initially available in the UK only through their stores.
The HTC Incredible S looks set to replace the Desire HD as their top-end phone. Initially coming with Android 2.2 (Froyo), we’re promised an over the air upgrade to the latest version of smartphone Android, Gingerbread (2.3).
There’s a four-inch WVGA touch-screen, with an impressive eight-megapixel rear-facing camera that can record HD video with dual LED flash. With 8GB of storage inside the phone, it’s expandable by microSD card up to 32GB. Another camera, front-facing, is an 1.3-megapixel effort, ready for video-calls.
Carphone Warehouse are promising a release date of March 3 2011- and it looks like it could be the first of the Taiwanese giant’s new range to arrive here. We’ll get some price details when available.
