HTC One ‘mini’ leaked in photos, includes 4.3-inch 720p display

Twitter tipster @evleaks told the world not too long ago that HTC was working on a smaller version of the HTC One, dubbed the HTC M4. It turns out the handset is very real, with Engadget relaying pictures courtesy of Estonian website Forte. As expected, the design language is very similar to the HTC One, but the phone itself comes in a smaller chassis.

HTC may well offer black and silver versions of the M4 – now called the HTC One ‘mini’ – considering that the Estonian publication compared a black HTC One Mini against the silver HTC One. As for the specs of the One Mini, Forte believes that it will feature a 4.3-inch 720p display, a dual-core processor, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, and an UltraPixel camera.

That lines up nicely with what @evleaks reported last month. The notorious leaker said at the time that the design of the M4 would be “near identical” to the HTC One, with the same front-facing speakers and overall design. These new images definitely show that, so the only question remaining is when HTC will officially announce the handset. The One Mini was also previously said to include LTE connectivity and a non-removable 1,700mAh battery.

Forte believes that the phone will go on sale in August, although past information was indicated that the M4 would be revealed during the second quarter.
