HTC One S: tips and tricks (video)

The HTC One S is out now and is widely available from Orange, Tesco, Three, T-Mobile, Vodafone and sim free. The HTC One S is the middle product in a trio of handsets announced by HTC at MWC (Mobile World Congress), sitting between the flagship HTC One X and the HTC One V.

The HTC One S looks like a worthy successor the HTC Desire and at just 7.6mm deep, it’s a compact phone.

The attractive size still allows for a generous 4.3-inch AMOLED screen (with a resolution of 540×960), with tough Gorilla Glass to protect it. In our tips and tricks we highlight the power saving potential of a black backdrop on an AMOLED display, here’s a black qHD wallpaper you can download and use on yours.

HTC has also totally revamped the camera and the One S includes an 8-megapixel snapper with autofocus and an LED flash for low-light shooting. The device also captures full HD movies at 1080p.

It’s powerful enough to run Ice Cream Sandwich – also known as Google’s Android 4.0 operating system – which is overlayed with HTC’s very useable Sense skin.
