HTC One X Snapdragon S4 vs Tegra 3 Video

Side by side, were it not for the colour and the AT&T symbol, there would be little with which to tell these two HTC One Xs apart, however delving a little deeper and you can see that we’ve got two very different sets of guts for these two otherwise identical twins. Specifically, the left hand HTC One X packs an Nvidia Tegra 3 processor with 4 cores clocked at 1.5GHz while the right hand side white One X branded with its AT&T insignia rocks a humbler 1.2GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor. Why such variance amongst two phones with the same name? The key reason is this: the US variant on AT&T has LTE, and the carrier’s only LTE solution at the time of ranging the One X was Qualcomm. That said, while it might seem all is lost in terms of performance for our white One, as you’ll see from the video, both HTC One Xs power through HTC’s Sense 4.0 fluidly with the Qualcomm S4 processor showing no sign of slowdown or flagging. What’s slightly less positive however is the reduction in user-available storage, with just 9.9 GB available when compared to the 25GB found on the Tegra 3 version.
