HTC Ruby gets close-up photoshoot: 1.5GHz dual-core and 4.3-inch qHD screen?

HTC’s forthcoming smartphone seems to get around; codenamed Ruby, this isn’t the first time we’ve seen this curvy smartphone sillouette in the open. This time, in Thailand, it seems to have appeared in its black ensemble (rather than the white one we saw last month) and we now get to see that pin-sharp qHD screen showing of some great viewing angles.

Other specifications apparently come from someone working at HTC, and include a dual-core processor zooming along at 1.5GHz, an 8-megapixel auto-focus camera with dual flash, HTC’s latest Sense 3.5 UI, and support for high-speed 3G HSPA+ networks.

The camera appears to be recessed into the phone’s frame, like the one found on HTC’s latest, the WP7-powered Titan. This should protect it more from day-to-day bumps and scratches.

There’s also the typical Android key line-up below the 4.3-inch screen, whilst earlier rumours suggest that the Ruby will also get its own dedicated camera button – keeping the cameraphone faithful happy. Hopefully, it’ll have two depressions, allowing you to focus before the shot.
