HTC Sensation released today, pre-orders dispatched

HTC’s new flagship smartphone, the Sensation, is available now.

Vodafone currently has exclusivity on the phone, and you can get it free on a £35 per month contract.

The Sensation has HTC’s trademark unibody design, as well as the new-look HTC Sense UI.

It has a 4.3-inch touchscreen which is supersharp qHD (quarter High Definition) resolution, whilst on the back, you’ll find an 8-megapixel camera, capable of full 1080 HD video-recording, alongside dual LED flash.

The Sensation will also be the first smartphone to have HTC Watch. A new on-demand video service, you can buy and rent films and TV shows, and download them to view on the phone, or on connectable larger displays.

We’ve been using Watch on the HTC Flyer, and we’ve been impressed with the delivery and quality- if not the pricing.

UPDATE: Check the picture above. Spotted on Vodafone’s new advertising display, alongside the Sensation, is a ‘Vodafone Red’ HTC Desire S. It’s the first time we’ve seen this colour on the Desire S, and it’s probably a Voda exclusive. (We don’t think Orange would go for it, for some reason.)

Expect to see Recombu’s review of the HTC Sensation very soon.
