HTC has begun to roll out over-the-air updates to HTC Sense 3.0 for the HTC Desire HD and Incredible S in the UK. The update will add the super-useful lock-screen widget as seen on phones like the HTC Sensation and HTC Sensation XL.
The Sense 3.0 lock widget allows you to unlock straight to the camera, email, dialler (or whatever you want) as well as unlocking the phone like normal.
The widget comes with four shortcuts that can be customised, allowing you to set up shortcuts to virtually anything you want on your HTC phone – the settings, Angry Birds, HTC Watch, Google Reader, you name it.
We understand that the update will be an over-the-air phased rollout that begins today. No word on whether Ice Cream Sandwich will be hitting either of these phones. But this is a nice pre-Christmas bonus all the same.
