Mid-priced smartphone wonder, the HTC Wildfire S has had a new coat of paint, aiming for the anachronistic female smartphone shopper with a glossy metallic hue of rose.
Available at Phones 4U, the updated Wildfire offers you a classy slice of smartphone for less, with a 3.2-inch capacitive touchscreen, 5-megapixel camera, and the latest version of Android, Gingerbread (2.3). This all some smothered i a thick layer of HTC Sense software, with all sorts of extra functions.
This makes the Wildfire S compatible with the majority of apps available on the Android Market, but the smaller processor means it’s unable to handle flash video – that means no BBC iPlayer or the like.
The Wildfire S is available for free on two year contracts, starting at £15 per month. It’s still available in silver, black and (elsewhere) white.
