Huawei Ascend Y 100 and G 7105 coming exclusively to O2

Huawei and O2 have teamed to release two budget handsets due to hit O2’s store shelves exclusively: the Huawei Ascend Y 100 the Huawei G 7105.

Huawei’s Ascend family was heavily fleshed out at the start of 2012 with the introduction of new premium devices such as the Huawei Ascend P1 S and D Quad, the Ascend Y 100 is a neat little entry-level smartphone.

Ascend Y 100

The Ascend Y 100 offers up a 2.8-inch display, but runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread with Huawei’s own tweaks and changes on top and of course access to Google Play’s 500,000+ apps. Imaging is improved with a 2-megapixel camera on the back capable of video at 30fps and HSDPA. Those who purchase an Ascend Y will also get to design their own custom back cover free of charge.

A diminutive touchscreen feature phone the G 7105 offers users a 2.8-inch LCD, a 1.3-megapixel camera, 4GBs of onboard storage and room for expandable memory, there’s also Bluetooth, but no mention of Wi-Fi connectivity. It has a web browser in the form of Opera Mini, which means even the smallest of data allowances will likely suffice for the target user.
