The Huawei P9 and Huawei P9 Plus are coming to the UK and here’s the latest news from UK networks on the P9’s price and release date, as well as the best Huawei P9 and P9 Plus contract deals.
If you’re after a smartphone with an awesome and reliable camera, then the Huawei P9 might be your next mobile. This 12-megapixel dual-lens snapper was produced in collaboration with photography expert Leica Camera, a German manufacturer who are renowned for producing high-quality cameras in a lightweight, compact form.
Here’s how you can grab a Huawei P9 of your own in the UK.
How much does the Huawei P9 and P9 Plus cost SIM-free?
The Huawei P9 will cost from £449 SIM-free in the UK, according to early reports. That’s the price for the entry-level 32GB model.
The Huawei P9 Plus will cost from £549, for the 64GB model.
When is the Huawei P9 and P9 Plus’ UK release date?
So far we only know that the P9 and P9 Plus will be on sale in the UK in ‘the coming weeks’, with reports of a May 2016 release. We’re chasing to see if we can get a more specific release date.
Which UK networks will offer the Huawei P9 and P9 Plus, and what are their best P9 deals?
The following UK networks have confirmed that they will be stocking the Huawei P9 or Huawei P9 Plus.
O2 will be offering both the Huawei P9 and the Huawei P9 Plus, on its O2 Refresh tariff. Check out O2’s ‘coming soon‘ page to register your interest (note that at the time of writing, the P9 still hadn’t been added).
Vodafone will also be ranging the Huawei P9 and the P9 Plus in the UK. If you pre-order the phone (grey model can be pre-ordered today, silver from April 11), you get a free Huawei W1 Classic smartwatch and P9 flip case.
The Huawei P9 will cost £30 per month on a Vodafone Red 2GB bundle (with unlimited texts and calls). If you pay £35 a month, you can bump that to 4GB of data with 6 free months of Sky Sports Mobile, Spotify Premium or NOW TV included.
EE will be offering the Huawei P9 on contract in titanium grey, but will not be ranging the P9 Plus. We’re waiting to hear news of EE’s contract prices, which should be coming soon.
Like EE, Three will only be ranging the Huawei P9, this time in black and white colours. There’s no information on UK pricing or release date just yet.
