Website anandtech has released a heap of performance stats on Apple’s iPad 2. The site has investigated Apple’s 9x speed boost claim over the original generation’s graphics processing capability.
In GL Benchmark 2.0 tests the iPad 2 boasted some pretty phenomenal scores, besting the Motorola XOOM in everything that was thrown at it. Some situations saw the iPad 2’s A5 and Imagination Technologies GPU giving the tablet 6x the speed of the XOOM.
That said anandtech failed to reproduce the 9x performance figure that Apple has claimed.
The site has also posted a comparison shots gallery showing the graphical improvements of Infinity Blade on the iPad 2.
