iPhone 4: O2, Orange, Vodafone and T-Mobile to offer new Jesus phone in the UK

It’s all go in phone-land this evening, with the launch of Apple’s new iPhone 4. With the handset launching later on this month, we’re getting word of the networks who’ll be carrying the new wunder-device – so far O2 has officially thrown its hat into the ring alongside Carphone Warehouse, with a source at Vodafone confirming that the iPhone will be coming to their network too.

We’re waiting on word from Orange – as it already offers other iPhone models, we’re pretty confident it’ll be announcing its intentions soon too.

Update: Orange has just confirmed that it is going to sell the iPhone 4 too.

O2’s upgrade deal sounds pretty good for existing customers – the details haven’t been officially announced yet, but it will be a time-limited upgrade offer for those in contract, probably similar to that being offered over in the States. You can register your interest here – which is probably a good idea, since O2 will need to send you a microSIM if you’re serious about buying at launch.

Expect more on Vodafone’s plans in the coming days, and confirmation from Orange imminently.

Update: Vodafone has officially announced its intention to offer the iPhone 4 from June 24th; still no further details but you can register for updates here.

Update: T-Mobile has also confirmed that it will launch the iPhone 4 but tellingly it hasn’t mentioned June 24th as its release date – does this mean T-Mobile customers will have to wait a little longer for the Apple’s latest must-have?
