iPhone 5 will be dual-core: Same chip as seen in iPad 2

Buried within the new iOS 4.3 update released recently, some lines of code referring to Apple’s new A5 dual-core processor have to N94AP- rumoured to be the codename for the new iPhone 5.

iOS developer Filippo Bigarella spotted this, and posted a picture of the code through Twitter.- whatever this means.
We’ll have to take his word for it.

It hasn’t come as a massive shock to hear. It is almost a given that the next iPhone to arrive with dual-core power; given that’s what we’re seeing in its high-end rivals like the Galaxy S II, LG Optimus 3D, and Motorola Atrix.

Revealing that the phone will have the iPad 2’s A5 chip means we can expect the speed and graphical ability of the iPhone 5 to really wow us. Hopefully all on another gorgeous retina screen.
