According to those Boy Geniuses, the photo you see here is yet another BlackBerry device; this time marrying the retro 2009 looks of the Bold 9700 with the zippier processor – and hopefully screen resolution – of the recent Bold 9900.
We reckon RIM will be hard pressed to get people lining up to buy a elderly looking phone, despite better technical credentials; given that the screen on this new phone doesn’t even seem to be running, we’re waiting for some more concrete news on this.
Other details include a 5-megapixel camera – presumably also enhanced depth-of-field like the 9900- 8GB of built-in storage, NFC, GPS, and what BGR believes is a 1.2GHz processor. They also suspect that, “if goes well, this device could launch before the end of the year, even as early as next month.”
