That’s according to well-respected mobile phone guru, Eldar Murtazin, from Russian phone site, mobile-review.com.
The pictures, posted here earlier, though authentic, were of a Windows Phone 7 handset that was, and will remain, only a protoype.
Although Sony Ericsson stated at its launch, that it would be developing phones for the burgeoning Windows Phone 7 system, they’ve followed that up with swathes of new Android phones, and it’s been pretty quiet (read; silent) on the WinPho7 front.
The leaked pics resembled a phone not dissimilar to Sony Ericsson’s Android-powered Xperia range, along with a rather dated looking slide-out keyboard. had it seen a release, it would’ve joined a rare group of hard keyboard-packing WinPho7s, include the HTC 7 Pro and Dell’s Venue Pro.
One Sony Ericsson phone, the Xperia Pro, is its separated-at-birth Android brother, announced alongside the Xperia Neo, with a slide-out keyboard, and very similar stylings. Still no announcements yet on whether any UK phone networks will stock the Xperia Pro.
