LG BL40: LG unwraps new Chocolate

The LG Chocolate returns and it looks sweeter than ever. The original black and red colour scheme is back but this Chocolate comes crammed with lots of tasty new features.

A huge 4-inch capacitive touchscreen made of tempered glass dominates the BL40’s design. It’s large enough to allow for what LG calls ‘dual screen functionality’, meaning you can partition the screen and see two windows open at the same time.

The high definition screen is capable of playing video in a super-wide 21:9 format. What’s more, the fun sized 1GB of internal memory can be upgraded to a king sized 32GB, making the LG Chocolate BL40 an ideal portable video player.

Other features include a 3.5mm headphone jack at the top so that you can plug standard headphones straight in, and there’s a 5-megapixel camera with autofocus and a single LED flash.

Worth noting is the one-touch copying and pasting system that we hope makes copying and pasting between emails, texts and the BL40’s browser, an effortless affair. It’s a shame that LG hasn’t launched an app Store in the UK yet as this would be a great phone to launch it with. The LG Chocolate BL40 will be available for free on monthly contracts from O2, Vodafone and Orange from the 8th of September.
