LG Chocolate BL20: Sweet slider to debut on O2

Here is a fact for you. Well, we say fact but we mean spurious and unfounded theory. The LG Chocolate KG800 is the most dropped mobile phone in history. We know at least three people who have dropped an LG Chocolate and that counts as a survey these days, no? If you were one of those three people that dropped their Chocolate and you broke it, then you may be interested to know that LG has released a new model, the BL20 Chocolate.

Not to be confused with the remote control lookalike BL40, the BL20 Chocolate has a plethora of features. For starters the BL20 comes with a 5-megapixel camera with auto-focus and flash. It also features touch-sensitive controls, which are hidden on the sides of the phone and users will be able to use these controls to adjust volume or make camera zoom adjustments. There are also widget hotkeys that give the user the ability to personalise their phones so they can access favourite features at the touch of a button.

A brand new feature onboard the BL20 is something called ‘clear memo capture’ which captures handwritten notes, text and drawings.  You’ll find HSDPA (3.5G), which should make it easy for you to browse your favourite websites, but there’s no Wi-Fi, which is a shame. The LG Chocolate BL20 will be available on O2 in Q4 which means that the phone could launch as early as October or as late as December. It will most likely be free on a monthly contract.
